I like this Elizabethan style hair because its not too historic or to modern. It has that balance that enables a viewer to relate to the era. I think the adornments in the hair also make it modern, back in the elizabethan era the adornments were normally jewels.

I like this look because of its messiness. The over back combed heart shaped hair is truly modern, yet still references the Elizabethan era.

I like this bun design because of the plaits also being incorporated into the overall application. I would love to use this in my design but can't help but think it would be very difficult and with time set to a minimum it might not be appropriate.

I LOVE this image! The plaits, the height and the overall feel of this piece of work just feels effortless. the reference to the Elizabethan era is very apparent in this image but it's very modern.

This is another image I have found that incorporates mainly plaits and back combing which reference the Elizabethan era. I love this image due to the hair, styling and make up being very Avant Garde/Alternative Fashion Mag style.
